Training
Training is provided year round by many of our member companies. All training meets or exceeds NWCG standards set forth in the PMS 310-1. Each individual trained by the NCFA must be fully trained, have passed the WCT (Work Capacity Fitness Test) and have a verified NCFA Photo ID Fire Card, that shows what wildland fire positions they are qualified for. All NCFA approved instructors must meet or exceed NWCG requirements. NCFA monitors training and certification to ensure compliance.
The NCFA understands that you can have a choice when it comes to Wildland Firefighter Training. Quality training is vital for the safety and success of all firefighters on the line. That is why it is the NCFA's policy to only offer the highest quality training with the most up-to-date material's in all of our training sessions.
